About Ceres
Ceres is a region in focal Goias state, Brazil. Situated on the Brazilian Highlands, it was one of the principal agrarian settlements worked in the province of Goias. The city is situated in the fruitful Sao Patrício valley and is wealthy in watercourses. The Rio das Almas is the fundamental stream in the locale and isolates Ceres from its neighbor, Rialma. The Rio das Almas streams north to join the Maranhao, a tributary of the Tocantins. Ceres is 187 km. from the state capital, Goiania.
Metropolitan limits are with Itapaci, Nova Gloria, Sao Patrício, Carmo do Rio Verde, Rialma, and Rubiataba. Ceres started in 1941 when the Getulio Vargas government made a rural province called Colonia Agricola Nacional de Goias – CANG set up on the banks of the left bank of the Rio Almas. Bunches of somewhere in the range of 26 and 32 hectares were disseminated alongside seeds and instruments, while free medicinal and dental care was guaranteed to the new pilgrims. Every territory needed to safeguard 25% of the land in woodland. A house was given to every pioneer.
The leader of this undertaking was a specialist Bernardo Sayao, one of the pioneers of present day Goias. The city of Ceres has its beginning in this state, which at the time pulled in transients from everywhere throughout the nation, pulled in by the offers of free land in a ripe valley. In 1947 there were at that point 10,000 occupants. Agriculture used to be the pillar of the nearby economy and the city once had around 70 thousand tenants. Lately Ceres has been changed from a farming town into an administration focus. The town is noted for its wellbeing and training.
