Buriti Alegre

Buriti Alegre is a municipality in south Goias state, Brazil. The population become 8,287 population in a complete vicinity of 897.4 km². Buriti Alegre is a huge manufacturer of poultry products. Buriti Alegre began in 1910 with the development of a chapel at the Buriti ranch. The chapel was committed to Our Lady of Aparecida and attracted pilgrims from across the place. In 1914 it have become a district of Catalao. In 1927 it become dismembered to come to be a municipality.

Buriti is positioned in the acute south of the country between Morrinhos and Itumbiara. It is part of the Meia Ponte Microregion. The distance to the country capital, Goiania, is 181 km. The distance to the vital BR-153 motorway is 26 km. The elevation is 620 meters above sea level. The municipality is crossed by numerous rivers, the most essential being the Paranaiba and the Corumba. There is also the Pirancanjuba, which flows into the Corumba. The Lago das Brisas with an area of 778 km² is shaped through the meeting of the waters of the Piracanjuba, Corumba and Paranaiba.
