About Araucarias National Park
Araucarias National Park is a country wide park in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The Araucarias National Park is placed within the Santa Catarina municipalities of Passos Maia and Ponte Serrada. The included vicinity was established on 19 October 2005 and has a place of 12,841 hectares. The park is administered by the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation. The park is on the Campos Gerais, the plants within the vicinity directly influenced by means of the park is especially local secondary formations in specific stages of regeneration, exploited primary woodland, reforestation with exotic species Pinus and Eucalyptus, agricultural regions and pastures.
The park is classified as IUCN protected-vicinity category countrywide park. The basic goal is to maintain the natural environments, which preserve remnants of the Araucaria Forest and flowers of the Atlantic Forest biome that are particularly threatened by means of human interest. The park supports medical studies, environmental schooling, outdoor recreation and eco-tourism. The parks is threatened by way of wild boars, deserted domestic animals, disturbed areas and the practice of searching wild animals.
