About Mizque
Mizque is a metropolis inside the Cochabamba Department, Bolivia. It is the capital of the Mizque Province. Mizque is positioned within the valley of the Mizque River, one of the predominant tributaries of the Río Grande. Historically, it become located inside the location of Upper Peru, and became a corregimiente dependent on Santa Cruz de la Sierra till 1783, whilst it became an impartial city of the Intendencia de Cochabamba, within the Viceroyalty of the Rio de la Plata.
Mizque is placed on a properly maintained toll road which to the north-west leads thru the Valle Alto to Cochabamba. In the alternative course, as National Road 23, the route runs southwards to Aiquile and, beyond that, to Sucre. The bus connection to Cochabamba operates on an nearly daily basis. Mizque is likewise placed beside the Cochabamba-Aiquile railway line, but since the railway station is across the river it's far tough for the population to access. There is a railcar carrier to Cochabamba that runs 3 times per week, but the journey time is about twice as long as that taken by means of the bus using the principle street, and the station isn't always an awful lot used for passenger traffic.
