About Camargo
Camargo is a small town and a municipality of Bolivia, capital of the province of Nor Cinti inside the Department of Chuquisaca. Camargo became previously acknowledged under the names of Pazpaya and Villa Santiago.
The name of Camargo is because of the guerrilla Jose Vicente Camargo, who fought numerous battles in exclusive cities of the current vicinity of Cinti, along with Tacaquira, Palca Grande, Culpina, Incahuasi and Santa Elena from 1814 to April 3, 1816, day in who became beheaded and executed along with his guerrillas by Buenaventura Centeno. Founded the Republic, to the two following years, in 1827 it become given the call of Camargo, and its civic date is celebrated on April 3 as a double tribute to the day of death and the call of the Bolivian patriot Jose Vicente Camargo Camargo It is placed at an altitude of 2,406 meters above sea stage, it's miles on the midpoint of the trunk avenue among the cities of Potosí and Tarija, 197 km from the town of Potosí and 187 km from the city of Tarija.
