Dzong Gate

The Dzong Gate is organized in Wangdue Phodrang in central Bhutan. The town gives its name to the dzong worked in 1638 that summons the district. The name is said to have been given by Ngawang Namgyal, the first Zhabdrung Rinpoche, who was searching for the best zone for a dzong to keep intrusions from the south.
