About Beloeil Castle
The Chateau de Belœil is a chateau situated in the municipality of Belœil within the province of Hainaut, Belgium. Since the 14th century it's been the house of the Prince de Ligne. The château lies in the middle of a brilliant Baroque lawn designed in 1664. The château and gardens can be visited all through spring and summer. Belœil became ownership of the Ligne circle of relatives in 1394. At the start of the fifteenth century the local fortress was chosen because the major house of the own family. The antique castle was a fortified rectangular building with a moat surrounding it and had four spherical towers, one at each attitude.
This basic structure remains preserved, even though the facades and interiors were substantially altered in the course of the subsequent centuries. From 1664 onward the park, with its instantly alleys, geometrical ponds and implementing views changed into created.
