Navahrudak Castle

The former citadel in Navahrudak, Belarus become one of the key strongholds of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, noted by using Maciej Stryjkowski as the place of Mindaugas's coronation as King of Lithuania as well as his probable burial location. Modern historians can not make up their minds as to the genuine location of Mindaugas's coronation. Navahrudak became one of the northernmost forts besieged via the Crimean Tatars inside the sixteenth century.
