Dobrus

Dobrush is a metropolis in the Gomel Region of Belarus. Is one of the regions of Belarus. Its administrative center is Gomel. The overall location of the region is forty,400 square kilometres 15,six hundred squaremi, the population in 2011 stood at 1,435,000 with the number of inhabitants per km2 at 36. It is positioned on the Iput River. Mentioned for the first time in 1335. Dobrus is governed by means of a Regional Executive Committee, the chairman of that is Volha Mokharava.

On November 21, 1941, 106 neighborhood Jews and 19 Soviet activists had been murdered in a mass execution perpetrated by means of Einsatzkommando 8, coming from Gomel, assisted by way of nearby policemen. During the spring of 1942, some other execution befell in which approximately 70 Jews had been also killed.
