About Jamalpur
Jamalpur is a district in Bangladesh, a part of the Mymensingh Division. It become installed in 1978. On June 21, 1971, the Pakistani military, in collaboration with the local Razakars, killed 9 humans on the Shashan Ghat at Jamalpur sadar upazila on the bank of the Brahmaputra. Bengali opponents and the Pakistani army on July 31 fought at Kamalpur Pakistani Army Base of Bakshiganj upazila, with heavy losses to the profession navy. A conflict turned into fought between Bengali troops underneath Sector Commander Colonel Abu Taher and the Pakistani navy on November 13 at Kamalpur of Bakshiganj upazila. Taher was significantly wounded. The small Pakistani navy base at Kamalpur fell on December 4, following heavy attack by using rebels lasting 21 days.
