About Bhola
Bhola District is a regulatory locale in south-focal Bangladesh, which incorporates Bhola Island, the biggest island of Bangladesh. It is situated in the Barisal Division. Barisal Division, authoritatively known as Barishal Division, is one of the eight regulatory divisions of Bangladesh. Situated in the south-focal piece of the nation, it has a territory of 13,644.85 km2, and a populace of 8,325,666 at the 2011 Census. It is limited by Dhaka Division on the north, the Bay of Bengal on the south, Chittagong Division on the east and Khulna Division on the west.
The authoritative capital, Barisal city, lies in the Ganges River delta on a branch of the Arial Khan River. Barisal division is confused by ious streams that earned it the epithet 'Dhan-Nodi-Khal, Ei tine Borishal'. It is limited by Lakshmipur and Barisal Districts toward the north, the Bay of Bengal toward the south, by Lakshmipur and Noakhali areas, the Meghna waterway and Shahbazpur Channel toward the east, and by Patuakhali District and the Tetulia stream toward the west. About 400 mmcf petroleum gas has been found at Kachia in Bhola which is being utilized to run a power station.
