Daskasan

Daskəsən is a town and municipality in and the capital of the Dashkasan Rayon of present day Azerbaijan. It has a population of 10 801. The municipality consists of the metropolis of Daskəsən and the village of Alunitdag. The mountains of Daşkəsən have been used as pastures for a long time. The maximum lovely pastures of the South Caucasus are located here and in Khoshbulag. Khoshbulag was inhabited by using the primitive humans within the Stone Age whose important engagement was hunting. In the third century B.C. Human beings engaged in animal breeding rose to Khoshbulag pastures.

The lifestyle is accompanied up nowadays. Daşkəsən summer season pastures are 2000 m high from sea degree. Different animal-breeding tribes settled here and constructed Cyclops-like small towers to defend themselves from attacks. Since that period Daşkəsən grew to become to the area of settlement. Tumuli type burying monuments located within the archaeological digs achieved in 1959-1960 inside the locations of historical agreement in Daşkəsən display that people used this area as summer season pastures and there was only one manner to the ones pastures in summer time- north-east, the valley of the river Kur.
