About Universal museum Joanneum
The Universal museum Joanneum is a multidisciplinary museum with homes in several locations inside the province of Styria, Austria. It has galleries and collections in lots of difficulty regions along with archaeology, geology, paleontology, mineralogy, botany, zoology, records, art and folk tradition. It is the oldest museum in Austria as well as the largest usual museum in relevant Europe with over 4.5 million objects in thirteen departments and 12 locations inside the Styrian towns of Graz, Stainz, Trautenfels, and Wagna. To replicate this popularity and its increase over the last centuries, in addition to to provide a greater recognizable photograph across the world, the Landesmuseum Joanneum was formally renamed to Universal museum Joanneum on 10 September 2009.
The Landesmuseum Joanneum was established in 1811 via Archduke Johann. It became Austria’s first museum in addition to a center for persevering with schooling and clinical research. Notably, the Coin Cabinet and the mineralogical series had been sizable, personal collections belonging to the archduke.
