About Rolls-Royce Museum
The Rolls-Royce Museum is a privately owned automobile museum in Dornbirn, Vorarlberg, Austria. Established in 1982, and formally opened to the general public in 1999, it has been said to have the world's largest collection of Rolls-Royce automobiles. Rolls-Royce become a British luxury car and later an aero-engine manufacturing business installed in 1904 by way of the partnership of Charles Rolls and Henry Royce. The museum became at the beginning housed in a former manufacturing unit owned via F. M.
Hammerle. In 2017, the museum's founder, Franz Vonier, died, and the local town and kingdom determined to end subsidising the museum's lease payments. The founder's successors, Bernhard and Johannes Vonier, consequently moved the museum to a smaller constructing close by that they owned themselves. With less space to be had inside the smaller constructing, the museum now focuses on its more special exhibits, and plans to present a new subject every 12 months. The museum's permanent series is made from over 1,000 gadgets, along with round 70 vehicles.
