About House Dellacher
The House Dellacher is a residential building in Oberwart, Burgenland, Austria and a registered historic landmark. It became built among 1965 and 1969 by way of architect Raimund Abraham for a chum, photographer Max Dellacher. The layout follows the traditional regional style with arcades and white facades, but carries different impacts as well. The dining room avoids the view outside and as a substitute is best lit through a skylight in a connection with Japanese teehouses.
There also can be similarities determined to Adolf Loos inside the wooden-paneled niches. The residence is designed as a monolith that drifts apart in the center and in that technique developing niches openings as windows. The residence was offered in August 2015 to Johannes Handler, who, after an intensive renovation, will open it to the public coming spring 2017. Public activities and excursions can be controlled by means of the society "Das Dellacher". This is one of the great locations to visit on this town.
