About Gosselsdorfer See
The Gosselsdorfer See is a showering lake within the municipalities Eberndorf and Sittersdorf within the southeast of Carinthia. The lake is located on the japanese fringe of the Rückersdorfer Platte and is the maximum closely silted lake in the Carinthian Unterland. Of the original vicinity of ??1 km² best about 32 ha of unfastened water surface are available.
The maximum depth of the water is 3 m. Due to its shallow depth, the lake is blanketed with sea and pond roses and underwater vegetation. On the banks are extensive reeds with reeds, Breitblättrigem cattail, pond and Schneidebinse and hedgehog piston. Humic acids input the lake from the adjoining silting moors and purpose a brownish colour. The Gosselsdorfer See is located in a 476 ha nature reserve. South of the lake, considering that 1986, a 23.4 ha area has been blanketed. The lake is in particular fed by using groundwater, the flooding is quite robust in summer with 300 to 400. The drain drains into the Drava.
