The castle wreck Liebenfels is a dual castle on a rocky outcrop northeast of the network Liebenfels within the district of Sankt Veit an der Glan, the historic middle of Carinthia. The preserved additives date from Romanesque to Renaissance. Liebenfels become first cited in documents in 1312 as Liewenvelse. Between 1484 and 1490, the fort became conquered by way of the Hungarians, occupied and thereby in part destroyed. From this career time nevertheless stays of bastions under the medieval plant.
Valvasor represents the hilltop fort around 1690 already as nearly desolate dar. Noteworthy are the 2 large continues from the 13th to 14th.
