About Burg Freundsberg
The fortress Freundsberg is a castle at the southern outskirts of Schwaz in Tyrol. The mountain fort is placed on a steep, relatively visible hill, about 170 m above the valley ground of the Inn Valley. The fortress turned into based in 1150 by means of the Lords of Freundsberg. Initially, the complex consisted only of a five-tale residential tower, that is preserved to at the moment and wherein nonetheless elements of the unique fresco painting can be visible.
