About The Tasmanian Transport Museum

The Tasmanian Transport Museum is a museum located in Glenorchy, Tasmania, keeping and showing a group relating to Tasmanian transport records along with gadgets which includes locomotives, carriages, ephemera and railroadiana. In 1960, the Metropolitan Transport Trust donated a Hobart tramcar to be preserved, and as a end result the Tasmanian Transport Museum Society was based in 1962, with the intention of maintaining representative gadgets of shipping interest that had been disappearing from everyday existence.
