About Sea Life Sunshine Coast
Sea Life Sunshine Coast at Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia is a marine mammal park, oceanarium and plant life and fauna sanctuary. Sea Life Sunshine Coast is an institutional member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association. The attraction is a Sea Life Centre owned via Merlin Entertainments, and is globally called Sea Life Sunshine Coast through manner of the firm. It turned into formerly called Under Water World. Under Water World officially opened in 1989. Several scenes in the Jackie Chan 1996 movie Police Story four: First Strike were shot in the park, which consist of a scene inside the primary aquarium.
In one of the scenes a traveler family is seen inside the reflection on one of the tanks. During the duration of Christmas on 2006 UnderWater World had a Giant Squid preserved in a block of ice on display. In July 2013, Under Water World's proprietors, Merlin Entertainments, announced that they may be spending $6.5 million on the refurbishment of the facilities. As a part of the machine, the aquarium emerge as rebranded as a Sea Life Centre and relaunched in December 2013.
