About Paddington
Paddington is an inner suburb of Brisbane, Australia positioned 2 kilometres west of the Brisbane CBD. As is not unusual with other suburbs in the location, Paddington is located on some of steep ridges and hills. It changed into settled in the 1860s. Many authentic and different Queenslander houses can be discovered in the suburb. Houses are frequently constructed on stumps, because of the steep nature of their blocks. Between 2005 and 2010, the median house rate has risen over 50% to $1 million. Paddington lies in a valley inside the foothills of Mount Coot-tha.
The region is extraordinarily hilly with many peaks and gullies. Most of the retail is positioned alongside the ridgetops which comprise the main roads of Caxton Street, Given Terrace and Latrobe Terrace. Proceeding north west alongside Caxton Street there may be a gentle downward slope on both side till Given Terrace is reached, colloquially called "lower Paddington". At Given Terrace there may be a slope that flows down to Rosalie at the left whilst at the right there is a steep drop to a gully which then rises once more to the Red Hill ridge. When Latrobe Terrace is reached, colloquially referred to as "top Paddington", the street sticks to the ridgetop with mild slopes on either facet till transferring uphill closer to the suburb of Bardon.
