Central Military and Artefacts Museum
About Central Military and Artefacts Museum
Central Military and Artefacts Museum is placed in Rockhampton. The museum opened on 18 August 1999 with a group of just 90 gadgets on display within the foyer of the nearby TPI offices. Since then the museum has grown through the generosity of the 8,200 regional veterans to a public museum series of 37,000 artefacts. Rockhampton is the best city in Queensland that has had an uninterrupted military presence of a 'regional' Troop when you consider that 1859. Our aretfacts and militaria traces this history through the show of uniforms from that point till now together with delivery shows and presentations of insignia.
The Central Queensland Military Museum is an all-volunteer, non-income local museum protecting our abundant nearby military and associated history. Have a massive series, and take part in network events, as well as being a focal point for all matters navy, a nearby venue for artefact identity and help with own family military research. Have a extremely good crew of active volunteers, doing studies, version making and display preparation.
