Cavill Avenue is a road and a person on foot shopping center in Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It is in the core of the Surfers Paradise shopping and diversion locale. It was named to pay tribute to the man credited as the originator of Surfers Paradise, James Cavill, known as Jim Cavill.In 1887, German settler Johann Meyer worked a ship over the Nerang River. From Southport, voyagers would take after the Meyer's Ferry Road now Ferry Road to a spit of land that made a restricted point in the waterway 28.0011°S 153.4247°E the thin spit is no longer in presence because of changes in the stream and the production of Chevron Island however is in the region of the Gold Coast Arts Center.
