Brisbane Botanic Gardens
About Brisbane Botanic Gardens
Brisbane Botanic Gardens is located in Toowong. The Brisbane Botanic Gardens are placed 7 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD in Toowong, Queensland, Australia, on the foot of Brisbane's tallest mountain, Mount Coot-tha. The gardens, which had been at the beginning known as the Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens and which cowl 52 hectares, were installed by means of the Brisbane City Council in 1970, and formally opened in 1976. The gardens are the second botanical gardens established in Brisbane. The unique gardens, now called the City Botanic Gardens are located within the Brisbane CBD at Gardens Point.
The new gardens were advanced through the City Council because the original town website online couldn't be improved and was flood susceptible. Also placed at the gardens is the Mount Coot-tha Library operated by using Brisbane City Council. Unlike most public libraries in Brisbane which have widespread collections, this library holds a specialist series approximately botany and astronomy and related topic reflecting its locations in the botanic garden and the Brisbane Planetarium also on the website online.
