About Ballam Park
Ballam Park located in Frankston. The Eastern facet wooden playground is a fave with Frankston/Mornington Peninsula babies and infants, with an intensive network of ramps, hiking device and slides. The natural coloration from the encompassing bushes offers ideal picnic spots, in addition to a sheltered picnic desk and water taps. On the Western side of the park the council has simply upgraded the getting old equipment to convert the location into a fantastic skate park and journey playground suitable for older kids.
It’s known as ‘Ballam Bumps Regional Playspace’ and won one of the prizes for nice playspace inside the 2018 Victorian Landscape Architecture Awards. The journey playground has a natural wood structure in step with the parkland. It features numerous large slides, plenty of wood poles with climbing notches, rope nets, spider webs a nest swing and flying fox. Ballam Park makes a splendid own family day trip, with massive playgrounds, barbecues, picnic tables, water faucets, public toilets and loose parking. You’ll also locate open areas and wearing fields, a dog unfastened roam location and Ballam Park Homestead, an ancient home and museum from the 1850s run by the Frankston Historical Society.
