About Australia National Film and Sound Archive

The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia NFSA is Australia's ying media document, in charge of creating, protecting, keeping up, elevating and giving access to a national gathering of ying media materials and related things. The gathering ranges from works made in the late nineteenth century when the recorded sound and film enterprises were in their early stages to those made in the present day.

The Archive was formally settled as the National Historical Film and Speaking Record Library inside the then Commonwealth National Library in 1935, turning into a free social association in 1984.Prime Minister-the Hon Bob Hawke formally opened the NFSA's central station in Canberra on 3rd of October.
