About Art Gallery of Western Australia
The Art Gallery of Western Australia AGWA is an open State workmanship exhibition that is a piece of the Perth Cultural Center, in Perth, Western Australia.
It is situated close to the Western Australian Museum and State Library of Western Australia and is upheld and overseen by the WA Government Department of Local Government, Sport, and Cultural Industries.
The present exhibition primary building opened in 1979 and will command its 40th commemoration in 2019.
It is connected to the old courthouse – The Centenary Galleries — which house the recorded gathering. 2020 is the 125th commemoration of the establishment of the institution.
The Gallery is gone to by roughly 400,000 individuals every year.
It houses the State's craft accumulation comprising of more than 17,000 gems including c3,000 Indigenous works.
