About Lover Park

It is an open stop in Yerevan, Armenia, situated on Baghramyan Avenue. It possesses a territory of 2.5 hectares in the focal Kentron District of the city. The recreation center was altogether redesigned in the vicinity of 2005 and 2008 and revived in November 2008 by the endeavors of promoter Albert Boghossian, head of Boghossian Foundation. The recreation center goes back to the eighteenth century, known as Kozern Park named after the Kozern area, a northwestern suburb of old Yerevan. It was notable for its medieval graveyard and its house of prayer.

After the World War II, the recreation center was updated in 1949 and renamed Pushkin Park by the choice of the Council of Ministers of the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic, as a component of the festival of the 150th commemoration of the introduction of the eminent Russian writer Alexander Pushkin. Later in 1970, the recreation center was named Barekamutyun as a tribute to the kinship of all Soviet Union part countries.
