About Zeralda
Zeralda is a commune in the Algiers wilaya in Algeria , located within the western suburbs of Algiers. According to some historians. The name of Zéralda is attributed to the set up in the area of Sidi Menif of a person of worship from the west named Mohamed Zeradli. The village of Zeralda is founded in 1844 , it is part from 1845 of the municipality of Coleah inside the district of Blida. In 1861 the village will come below the authority of the commune of Cheraga within the district of Algiers, before being attached in 1887 to the newly created commune of Staoueli.
It was not till 1905 that Zéralda have become a commune of complete exercising. Until the start of xx th century Zéralda may be very carefully populated, specifically located it repressed human beings of the city. With the appearance of phylloxera in the Mitidja , more and more settlers came to settle there to plant the way of life of the vine. In 1942 at some stage in the French colonization a raid led by means of the mayor of Zeralda resulted within the death of 25 Algerian Muslims.
