About Zemmouri
Zemmouri is a metropolis and commune within the Bordj Menaiel District of Boumerdes Province, Algeria. As of 2008, the population of the municipality is 26,408. The coastal web site of Zemmouri El-Bahri became a Phoenician and later Roman settlement named Rusubbicari. In the medieval period, it have become a small port named Marsa al Dajaj. Archeological studies there has uncovered medieval structures and pottery, as well as Roman coins.
By the nineteenth century the principle village, slightly similarly inland, changed into known as Zemmouri commonly spelled Zamouri or Zemouri on the time.
