Darul Aman Palace
About Darul Aman Palace
The Darul Aman Palace, truly Abode of Aman, is a western-style royal residence worked by King Amanullah Khan toward the southwest of Kabul. The forcing neoclassical building was expected as the seat for a future parliament outside of Kabul and was abandonned, unused for a long time, after religious traditionalists ended Amanullah's changes and constrained him from control in 1929.
Gutted by flame in 1969, Darulaman Palace was reestablished to house the Afghanistan National Museum and later the Defense Ministry amid the 1980s. Amid the Communist overthrow of 1978, the building was determined to flame. It was harmed again as opponent Mujahideen groups battled for control of Kabul amid the mid 1990s.
