However the best attraction of the island is the drive in your jeep along the75 mile long sandy beach, which is dubbed as the worlds most beautiful highway. The best time to visit Fraser Island is in August when a cruise is organized in the deep blue sea that is filled with migrating whales en route to Antarctica further south.
