The city of Bordeaux is among France's most stimulating, vigorous and dynamic urban regions.

In the latest decade and an expansive part of, it's shed its sluggish, Belle au Bois Dormant Sleeping Beauty picture by virtue of the vision of city pioneer Alain Juppé who has pedestrianized roads, restored neoclassical building, made an imaginative open transport system and recuperated Bordeaux's past present-day wet docks at Bassin à Flots.

A huge part of the city 18 sq km is Unesco-recorded, making it the greatest urban World Heritage site; while world-class organizers have made a social event out of striking new structures, the Herzog and de Meuron stadium 2015, decanter-framed La Cité du Vin 2016 and Jean-Jacques Bosc associate 2018 over the Garonne River included.
